The Story Behind Esplanade
We didn’t choose Esplanade just because it’s beautiful. It’s a place full of meaning for us, where so many of our favorite memories have been made. The photo shown here is one of our very first (and dearest), taken right here.
Esplanade has that timeless charm we both love – elegant, a little old-school, and full of character. Just like our story. So when it came time to choose a place to celebrate with all of you, the decision felt easy. Familiar. Ours.

Our First Dance
Our first dance is to "our" song – the one that wasn’t planned, it just happened. One night in a quiet park by Lake Como (the photo here), we played music from a phone and started dancing. No audience, no lights – just the two of us, laughing and moving like it was the most natural thing in the world. That moment stayed with us – and so did the song.
Since then, it followed us everywhere. We’ve danced to it in the middle of St. Mark’s Square in Venice, in a New York City subway station, and in our living room right after we got engaged. We’ve danced to it in the streets of Trieste, and most recently, holding our son Marko in the courtyard of a Tuscan castle.
It’s never been rehearsed. It’s never been perfect. But somehow, it’s always us. No matter where we are, when that song comes on, the world fades – and it’s just the two of us, dancing like nobody’s watching.

How 2025 became 2026
The night we got engaged in spring 2024, we made another decision. As we were planning our wedding for summer 2025, we said we would start trying to expand our family, hoping that perhaps, a few years down the line, a Miss or Mr Bunčić Junior would join us.
But that very night, everything fell into place sooner than we could have imagined – Marko decided it was time to begin his story. And just like that... instead of finalising a guest list, we began preparing for something much bigger. The wedding moved. Life shifted.
Some say he had been ready all along – simply waiting for us to decide we were ready too.
