The Venue
The Esplanade Zagreb Hotel is one of Zagreb’s most treasured landmarks, built in 1925 to welcome passengers of the legendary Orient Express. Known for its elegant Art Deco architecture and world-class service, the hotel has hosted royalty, presidents, and film stars – and remains a symbol of timeless luxury in the heart of the city.
Our wedding ceremony will take place on the Oleander Terrace – a beautiful open-air space overlooking the city, full of historic charm and romantic atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting to say I do.
After the ceremony, we’ll continue the celebration with dinner and dancing in the Smaragdna dvorana (Emerald Ballroom) – a stunning, grand hall that has been the backdrop of glamorous events for nearly a century.
The hotel is located within Zone 1 parking (with a two-hour limit), so for longer stays the most convenient option is the nearby Importanne Center garage; alternatively, using Uber or Bolt is usually an affordable and practical way to get around the city.
Children are very welcome. For guests aged 12 and younger, a separate space with organised activities will be provided so they can enjoy the evening as well.

The Attire
We kindly invite you to join us in black-tie attire for the evening.
For gentlemen, this usually means an suit with a tie or bow tie. For ladies, elegant dresses of any length, from cocktail dresses to full-length gowns, would fit beautifully with the elegant and festive atmosphere of the evening.
Whatever you choose, make sure you feel comfortable enough to dance the night away.
The Accommodation
Esplanade Zagreb Hotel is truly one of the finest hotels Zagreb has to offer. Elegant, historic, and perfectly located in the city centre, everything is within walking distance. The hotel offers beautiful rooms, an excellent breakfast, wellness and fitness facilities including a sauna, and two outstanding restaurants, Zinfandel’s and Le Bistro.
We were kindly given a special wedding rate of 147€ per night for single occupancy and 165€ per night for double occupancy, including breakfast. Guests who wish to book at this rate can contact the hotel reservations team at reservations@esplanade.hr and mention that they are reserving for the Wedding Žakula Bunčić. The special rate is available under that name.
